Know before you go

In order to travel to Cuba, most nationalities must be approved for in advance of travel. A Cuba Tourist Card will then allow you to stay in Cuba for 30 days and travel for the purpose of tourism.

Cuba Tourist Card

This is the most straightforward and common visa to obtain for entering Cuba and sufficient for leisure travel for almost all nationalities. This visa allows you to stay for up to 30 days in the country. However, it is possible to extend this visa for an additional 30 days, if the extension is applied and approved before the initial 30 days has elapsed. This can be done at the Cuban government offices.

With this visa, you can:

  • Stay in Cuba for up to 30 days at a time. It is possible to extend your visa once you arrive to Cuba.

  • Enjoy a holidays, visit your family or friends or cruise, or attend a cultural event.

To be eligible for this visa, you must:

  • Have a valid passport: The passport must be valid for at least 6 months after the date of entry into Cuba.

  • You must not have a criminal record.

  • Have a travel insurance in advance before entering.

Citizens of the following countries can enter to Cuba without a visa:

 Namibia (Indefinite stay)

 Bosnia and Herzegovina (90 days)

 Malaysia (90 days)

 Montenegro (90 days)

 North Macedonia (90 days)

 Serbia (90 days)

 United Arab Emirates (90 days)

 Russia (90 days)

 Kenya (90 days)

 Grenada (60 days)

 

 Saint Vincent & the Grenadines (60 days)

 Antigua and Barbuda (30 days)

 Belarus (30 days)

 Mongolia (30 days)

 Saint Kitts and Nevis (30 days)

 Saint Lucia (30 days)

 Singapore (30 days)

 Barbados (28 days)

 Dominica (28 days)

Visa Required

Citizens of the following 20 countries are ineligible to obtain a tourist card and must obtain a Cuban visa, rest of the citizens can apply to Cuba Tourist Visa:

COVID-19 Requirements

You do not need to be COVID vaccinated to enter Cuba or to do a COVID test. However, you must fill out an online health declaration form within 48 hours of travel. You may also be randomly selected for a COVID-19 test upon arrival.
